See a need … Fill a need

[ad_1]

“If you see a need, fill a need”. This statement has so much truth in it, and I think it deserves some much-needed attention. It’s not just a catchy quote from a cute movie. Nothing that has ever been said in truth has not already been said by the one who created all creation. Of course, we will never find these exact words to continue in the Bible, but we will find some scriptures that advise us to do just this thing and why. Lately, it seems that so many young people are just out in the world, doing their own thing and paying no attention to the consequences they will one day create. I cannot accuse this younger generation of having done what feels good to them if they have never been taught God’s true word. This is a topic coming to fruition through generations. As the Word of God gradually descends into our lives, we as a whole began to obey the law of the land and not of a Supreme God. As a result, we have created a new generation of ruthless, selfish, lazy, ill tempered people with bad attitudes. In each generation where the instructions in life are not taught and taught, things are getting worse as these children have children. Marriage is not even a prerequisite anymore. Now, I’m not saying that every young person in America fits this bill. Praise God, there are those who have studied the Word of God and live a life that pleases Him. However, the problem seems to be a minority.

An example of this kind of new attitude of “What about me” comes to mind. I know a young man who was unluckily never raised in a godly home. He was more or less left to his own devices. He never finished high school and jumps from job to job and woman to woman. His idea of being a real man drinks and becomes a hot shot. This has got him in trouble on more than one occasion. Not only that, this kind of nonchelant attitude has produced two innocent victims out of wedlock for two different women and now possibly a third for another woman. These kids don’t seem to see the bigger picture. Instead of settling down with a woman and owning the responsibility of being a father, they will soon get bored and move on and pay child support in their wake. This was not what God intended. It is also tremendously destroying the taxpayer. When God created man in his own image, and God is the epitome of love, correction, gentleness, patience, provision, etc., it only shows that someone else has taken on this role. Only a detestable and corrupt creature would teach selfishness, greed, sex drive, wealth, power, pride and unhappiness. His name is Satan. He eagerly teaches people how to be their own gods and lead the entire creation of God into the rough of destruction one day. Unless our young people can hear the Word of God, this need for truth will not be met. As the saying goes “you can’t give away what you don’t have”. As servants of the Supreme King, we are expected to see needs and fill them. His words give us the things we need to give them away. This was God’s plan. In fact, the more we give, the more we will receive! What needs can someone like yourself meet? You might say you have no money, you have no special talents, you just have nothing to offer. Stop right there! Everyone has something to give and it doesn’t have to be material.

The only thing we are commanded to give is … LOVE! This kind of love is better known as brotherly love. It puts someone else’s needs ahead of your own. This may seem impossible for some to even get pregnant, but the consequences will provide benefits for a lifetime. This is God’s plan for success. Let’s look at some examples.

“Owe nothing but to love one another, for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.” Romans 13: 8

Paul tells us that we are expected to love all people, both Christians and non-Christians. We do this by being honest in paying back our debt. Don’t let anyone else hold your bill. Be responsible and responsible.

“Let love be without hypocrisy. Cut off what is evil; hold on to that which is good. Be holy to one another in brotherly love; give one another preference in honor.” Romans 12: 9-10

This scripture speaks of another complete welfare and of meeting or meeting their needs. It is only good when done in a sincere manner. Devotion is pure from the heart. This is the part God sees. Now you may be thinking how this would be beneficial to you. Jesus is always the one who guides us into all truth. His truth will free us from the bondage of selfishness, greed, independence, pride or whatever is holding you back. In other words without!

In the book of Matthew, Jesus speaks with his disciples about the judgment of the heathen. God’s Word expresses what true salvation is and how to get it. It receives Christ into your heart and makes him your life and savior in your life. This confession from your lips will be gone. The day Christ returns to rule the earth, He will separate the believers from the non-believers.

“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him and he will separate them from one another as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats and he will put the sheep on his right side and the goats on the left. ”Matt 25: 31-33

Immediately a believer is considered a sheep and the unbeliever is sent to a place of dishonor on His left. He will reject these. It’s not very nice you might be thinking, but let’s listen to Christ’s reasoning.

“Then the king will say to those on his right: Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger and you invited me in; naked and you dressed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison and you came to me. ‘ Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you or thirst and give you something to drink? And when did we see you a stranger and invite you in or naked and clothed you? When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you? ”Matt 25: 34-39

These righteous deeds are the fruits of salvation, not good deeds. These good works alone will not get anyone in heaven. These were deeds manifested by the grace of God in their lives. This “brotherly love” is the main object of judgment. Seeing a need and filling that need is proof of saving faith. Jesus told them that whatever they did to the least of these, they also did to Him.

For the unsaved he will ask all the same questions, but ask why it gave him nothing. They will respond in the same way as believers with a slight difference, “When didn’t we do all these things?” And to them he will answer also;

“Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you did not do it with one of the least of these; you did not do it to me.” Matthew 25:45

This is why we must be gracious in fulfilling the needs of others in the glory of God.

“These will disappear in eternal punishment, but the righteous in eternal life.” Matt 24:46

All the choices we make today will decide tomorrow. Which one would you choose?
